The Senate Committee on Judiciary today voted to advise and consent on gubernatorial nominee, Russell Suzuki, to serve as the Attorney General of the State of Hawai‘i. Suzuki has been the acting chief legal and law enforcement officer for the state since February 2 when then Attorney General Doug Chin resigned to become Lieutenant Governor. Suzuki’s appointment now goes before the full Senate for confirmation.
