Honolulu, Hawaiʻi – Today, Senator Mike Gabbard (District 21 – Kapolei, Makakilo, Kalaeloa, Portions of Fernandez Village, and ʻEwa) issued the following statement thanking Governor Josh Green for releasing $5,000,000 in capital improvement project funds for the construction of two photovoltaic (PV) carports with industrial battery units for The University of Hawaiʻi – West Oʻahu.
“I’d like to extend a sincere mahalo to Governor Green for releasing funds for the construction of these PV carports at UH West Oʻahu,” said Senator Gabbard. “This investment in our community will contribute two-fold to our infrastructure in providing both renewable energy and shaded parking structures.”
