Hilo, Hawaiʻi – Today, Senator Lorraine R. Inouye (District 1 – Hilo, Paukaʻa, Papaikou, Pepeʻekeo), issued the following statement thanking Governor Josh Green for releasing $5,005,000 in capital improvement project funds to finance multiple projects at Hilo International Airport.
“I am thrilled to share the news of these important investments for the Hilo Airport,” Senator Inouye said. “This funding injection will support enhancements aimed at bolstering infrastructure and operational efficiency. Additionally, these funds will facilitate essential design work for terminal infrastructure improvements, furthering the airport's capacity to accommodate growing passenger needs.”
