SENATOR LORRAINE R. INOUYE THANKS GOVERNOR FOR RELEASING $90,000 FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS IN SENATE DISTRICT 1

Today, Senator Lorraine R. Inouye (District 1 – Hilo, Paukaʻa, Papaikou, Pepeʻekeo), issued the following statement thanking Governor Josh Green for releasing $90,000 in capital improvement project funds to finance the design and survey for hydrant and water service lines for the new Hilo Community Medical Center:

"I'd like to thank Governor Green for releasing funding to finance the design and survey for hydrant and water service lines for the new Hilo Community Medical Center Building Extension. Reliable water infrastructure is a vital component to a well-functioning hospital. I hope the Governor continues to support the development of the new Hilo Community Medical Center Building Extension. As the Hawaiʻi Island population ages, it is imperative that our healthcare infrastructure stays up-to-date. Projects such as the new Hilo Community Medical Center Building Extension signal to the community that the State is determined to meet Hawaiʻi Island's  healthcare needs."
