Mayor Michael Victorino released the following statement on Federal CARES Act funding for Maui County:
“I look forward to the state legislature convening on Monday, May 11, to discuss allocations for the counties from the $1.3 billion in CARES Act funding for Hawaii. Maui County could potentially receive $66.6 million to assist COVID-19 response efforts.
We continue to work closely with state lawmakers to ensure we are fiscally prepared to support the health and safety of our citizens during this time.”
