GOVERNOR RELEASES $700,000 FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS IN SENATE DISTRICT 4

The Governor recently released $700,000.00 in capital improvement project funding (CIP) to finance the design for the rehabilitation of the Hakalau Stream Bridge, Hawaiʻi.


The funding will be used as follows:

  • $700,000.00 to finance the lands and design costs for the rehabilitation of the Hakalau Stream Bridge on the Hawaiʻi Belt Road.

“I'd like to thank Governor Ige for releasing funding to finance the designs for the rehabilitation of the Hakalau Stream Bridge on the Hawaiʻi Belt Road,” said Senator Lorraine R. Inouye (District 4 – Hilo, Hāmākua, Kohala, Waimea, Waikoloa, Kona).


“I also want to express my gratitude toward Edwin Sniffen, Deputy Director for Highways for the Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation, and HDOT, who continue to work tirelessly to expedite this project for the residents of Hāmākua.”
